What am I doing wrong?
I was supposed to go back to work on monday and they were going to start moving me off the floor into the office because of my chronic back pain, but there was a power shift at work. My boss was demoted, and a guy who didn't know shit about his job was promoted to my bosses job, something that was being set aside for me. Then I was told that my call back date was canceled till further notice. I asked why they didn't consider me for the job, they said I couldn't handle it based on an incident earlier in the year when I had a meltdown over losing a load on a forklift. So basically because of my mental defect, I got fucked over again. Why can't I find a job where I am not a grunt? I try, I work hard but never works out in my favor.
I have my resume out there, but all I get are grunt job offers. I need to get out of grunt work because my physical health is in the dumps due to an injury. I hit the pavement, and nothing comes from it. I am seriously considering going back to ignoring my chronic back pain, and doing what I am supposed to do...wage slave grunt work.

The "earlier incident" is evidence to them that you are mentally/emotionally unable to handle more than grunt work. Are they wrong?
You clearly have no opportunity for advancement here. You may have to take a grunt job elsewhere and hope to prove yourself and get a promotion there.

The thing is, I was doing more than grunt work before the incident, then they rolled me back to just grunt work. I was doing fine prior. I have the tendency to sperg out if my stress level goes from low to extremely high in a very short amount of time. That is how I have been able to control my autistic meltdowns, also through meds. Before the incident, they were training me to do the position, in fact I was taking over when the one boss that was demoted wasn't there.
