As a guy who's in a similar situation, I would say to keep an open mind when you find a weirdo who's interested in you. Obviously you should have some sort of line that you will not ever cross, and should watch out for red flags. But you aren't going to find anyone willing to put up with eccentricity who isn't also a little eccentric.

Aside from 4chan I've never seen "25 is where your fertility drops off", the only real change is a slight increase for down syndrome which goes from 1/1600 to 1/1300. There's no other drastic change until 30, but it doesn't really start to go downhill until 35 - that's when conception and risks associated go up every year. The 25 thing seems to be an /r9k/ meme.
