27, male. I've never lived on my own before, but plenty of people have asked me. My best friend, my now ex gf, my friend from work, etc. but I always declined because I haven't felt "ready". No, one of my good friends just broke up with his long-time gf, and might have to move.
Thing is, he started his business recently, and he's got a lot of clients around the area, tons of expensive equipment, etc. He's a hard worker and pays his bills, but he needs someone he can trust around all of his things, and he asked me. Obviously I still don't feel "ready", but do you think it would be a good idea just to throw caution to the wind and just do it, even just for the experience?
I only have about $4k to my name right now and have zero domestic skills. I feel like throwing myself headfirst into it may change my perspective and help me grow.

It sounds like a golden opportunity to break out of your shell.
