I'm studying abroad and there was a girl who was calling me pretty much every other day one month ago and she seemed pretty interested. I was looking forward to seeing her in my home country but then suddenly she started acting weird and when we met she was pretty cold.

My question is not regarding how to get her back, I don't think that is meaningful. But what could've happened? Why do girls lose interest so suddenly and apparently for no reason? Can someone enlighten me?

Liking something for awhile and then losing interest is not a trait exclusive to women. Everyone does it hundreds of times in their lives. More importantly, it doesn't matter what the reason is. She isn't interested in you. Shrug and move on, kid. There is absolutely nothing productive about sitting around agonizing over the reasons people don't like you.
