Don't go it's a meme they will drug you
Expect bland questions and an overall lack of care or interest from the doctor. Psychiatrists are not psychologists, they're not there to help you, they're there to make money off of building a drug addiction for you. Avoid if possible but if you can't just be wary, and realize their job isn't to give a fuck about you but to throw you some meds.

That is why you go to psycholog instead.

It's kind of like a formal chat session. They usually try to bring up the problems you've been happen but it's all right for you to go off-topic and vent. Depends on the therapist though.

Medication in my case I think will help me. I've tried therapy in the past and it did nothing. I'm just going to try this out and see how it goes.

Yeah they're gonna fucking drug you that's how you get medicine.

A lot of "mhmm" and then *prescribes pills*
A good psychiatrist is a Godsend. They can determine what's bothering you and offer the right pill to fix it.
I will say though it's important that you see a psychologist as well.

I was thinking about trying therapy again alongside it. The problem is I've only found one therapist who I actually connected with and felt actually cared about listening to me and helping me. The rest were just shit so I'm hesitant to try again.

Well true, not all shrinks are good but...
It's not just their job to listen to your problems and offer sympathy, it's also their job to guide you into good actions that will improve your life.

Yes, but the last one told me I was cold and aloof and was bringing me down further.
