Are there any socially acceptable ways for an adult to seek attention and validation?

Work hard and give great gifts.

Work hard in what?
I do the best that I can at work but there's still people there who are faster and stronger and nobody still gets praise. The shift manager will come tell you if you're doing shit but outstanding performance gets you nowhere special.

Why do you need attention

Seriously? Damn your life must be hollow af if you actually have to ask.
Have a job where you provide in home service doing something requiring a license or skill. People are grateful as fuck when you do things for them.they cant. Theyll tell you too.
On that note have a hobby building things people use. Learn to build furniture for example or repair phones and start your own little kijiji phone repair business. Not only is that crazy profitable but people ruv u rong time.
Then theres the obvious "go fuck someone". Thats pretty validating.
Also sad as it is.. Seems a good fb post or selfy is socially acceptable these days...

I work in a factory, but I'm about to start school to become a nurse, aiming to become a paramedic if my health can take it.
I don't really have the resources to do anything loud or space-taking (one room apartment with very thin walls), what can you create that people use that doesn't require expensive materials and makes no noise?
I can't stomach sex at all.

Do you draw? Post your stuff online and people might like it.

I do, and they do, and it does feel nice but that's not the same. It's not personal.
