I have been trying for hours to make a bootable Windows usb from an iso, but everytime I try to boot from it I get told to reboot and select proper Boot device.
I use Linux as my primary OS and I use the dd command to make the bootable iso. It works like a charm when using iso's for diferent Linux distros, but allways fails when trying iso's for Windows distros. So far I have tried Windows XP and Windows 7, both with the same result.
What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried following instructions that you find everywhere online?

Yes. No matter what I try I can't seem to boot.
Unless you want to help, please stop being a smartass.
