So I asked an acquaintance of mine that I got along with well in high school (about to go to the same college now) on a date casually in conversation and didn't get a response. It's been a few hours, and considering she was replying immediately to my texts before I think it's safe to assume the silence is a no. I wasn't weird about it either. Talked about a book then I asked her her work hours and then asked if she was free after work to grab a bite to eat.
Anyways, is there something I should say to make it less awkward when we meet again? We will probably see each other a lot in college. Or should I just not even say anything else?
