As long as you have a good virus protection, and you update your computer. You should be okay. Just don't download anything from the pop ups.

Ive never used virus protection. As long as you dont download or click stupid shit you're fine. You cant simply catch a virus just surfing the internet unless you are going to funky bootleg websites. And you would need more than antivirus more like malwarebytes and browser protection .

Try adblock plus. It worked for me on streaming sites that kept giving the popus you're talking about.
