His shit is now yours
Shit it is
Do you mean that he still has bills and stuff coming to the house? If so who cares.
Did he leave a couch and physical stuff? Text him you put it on the curb and to get it if he wants it.
Its not your problem
Theres a lot of junk, mattress, furniture and trash that I dont want to deal with. Im sure he doesnt want the stuff. He left it for us to deal with. We are all moving out and I dont want to cause the landlord any inconvenience. He is not responding to us.

You said he never paid rent? Does that mean that he would not be held to any of the cleaning fees or anything like that?
If so you just have to deal with it then, find a dumpster nearby and spend the afternoon with a buddy to clean it out. Alternatively out the mattress and stuff on Craigslist or a free local classifieds ad. In my experience its a little bit if a hassle but free stuff gets moved quickly. If you list it for even $1 no one will touch it.
Next to nothing you can do. Pony up for a cleaning service, get rid of the shit yourselves, or leave it to the landlord.
It's shitty, I know. Hopefully this is the first and last time you've had to learn which of your friends make shit roommates. Hope you didn't have utilities in your name; I was just denied a lease because in 2013 my roommates never paid their part of the (massive) electric bill, so now I'm stuck with at least $1k in debt to the company.
I would really like to take his trash and dump it on his truck
