How do I deal with stress?

I've just turned 18 and I've never really handled stress well, and I'm going into the armed forces, and there are added stresses to my life.

I need the secret to being able to handle stressful situations and not letting them haunt over me.

All I do currently is listen ELO to feel better

As far as your question, deep breathing and meditation. Put difficult situations in perspective and they become easy to handle.
