Anyone else feel like their lives would be better without the internet?

yes, then I wouldn't have come across this thread
Only the unproductive parts, anything with a comment section which isn't linked to a productive project, and news articles. I like the digital nomad aspect, making money from anywhere, talking directly to friends around the world from anywhere, beating the competition from bed. I'd be bored if I had to live 9 to 5.

That generation is so weak. It's not bullying if your face isn't being smashed against a urinal.

It is literally my only avenue of socialising. I was without internet (and people) for 2 weeks and I started talking out loud to fill the silence.

I dunno, I think it'd be about the same. Sure, I waste a lot of time here, but there isn't much to do in my town, nor am I a very outgoing person. I think I'd just be replacing my internet time with book time or video game time. And it's not like either one is better.
Only if there was no internet all together. I am tired of people fucking around on their phones at all times. I am 100% technology free when I leave the house. No phone, no laptop, not even a watch.

Yea this. Really when everyone had high speed internet at home but no smart phones - that three year period was absolute kino.

I initially thought this, but then I realized that I would probably have adapted better to social situations had I not had the internet to fall back on.
Probably would have had less to distract me, too.
Don't get me wrong, I love technology, but I feel like I would have developed into a better person if I had less of an easy out for isolation and the like.
tfw born in le wrong generayshun
sometimes it might, but I met so many great people only via the internet that I really wouldn't want to miss it
Being able to call bullshit on people that talk like they know what they're saying is hands down, one of the best things. That moment when you turn your phone around and say; "youre absolutely wrong, shut the fuck up."
Absolutely 100% not.
I'd be a dumbed down retard who wouldn't have discovered all the things I like today.
The Internet isn't so bad. I believe everyone's lives would be better without smartphones and social media, though. The net was better when it was full of isolated communities of basement dwellers, and real life was better when everyone wasn't clutching their iPhones like they're going to wither away if they stop consuming useless info for a few minutes.

Don't know. I already go months without it. Don't think it would be remarkably better or worse if I never had access again. People do have an unhealthy relationship with it and all the horse shit that comes with it though.
I'd have no job
wouldn't have met my gf
wouldn't be able to pirate every movie and tv show ever made
wouldn't have seen all the glorious cat memes
fuck no.
my bf and i bond over me sharing memes to start inside jokes, and he's the love of my life, so i'll have to say no

Same but...
My job sucks, the gf is meh, pirating everything has really sucked the fun out of movies/shows or at least the grandeur of going to the theater or waiting for a specified time. Would I want another job, no but it is not that great either. A different gf, theyre all the fucking same. My point? This is not a point for me anon
I wouldn't know my boyfriend is cheating on me, and I also never would have met him. Infinitely better in my book.
