I'm buying glasses for myself for the first time in my life (currently 20, parents always bought them in the past).
Anything I should know before I proceed? I consider this a big purchase. I was hoping to get some RayBan frames or an equally as stylish brand

Get them online somewhere like eyebuydirect or Walmart, not an eyeglass store. You're going to get ripped off in one of those. Frames and fully upgraded thin lens for $100 online compared to $300-500 in a store.
