I play the piano (quite seriously, have been doing for 11 years) and I do figure skating; these are the things I care deeply about in life.

Actually, one of the big differences between UK and US society is that UK employers don't really care much what you studied, just that you proved things about yourself by getting a degree. So just about any field you want to go into will be happy to consider you.

Id you want an econ job you will need a higher level degree.

If you weree in thr usa i would say become an actuary. I dont know what thr equivalent is in uk.

If you can get into finance that would be a good route if your an alpha. If your a beta it wont work out well.
