Family doesn't want me to go to university...
We live in some dumb town so I can't live at home while going to school. I saved up a few thousand but it only covers like 1/16th of my schooling. My parents are scared of the debt I will be in and telling me to think it through and maybe not go. I tell them I'll work over the summer, take out loans and try to get internships as well as scholarships but they don't change their mind. Well I applied for school, applied for the loan and im accepted into engineering. Should I listen to my parents and skip it? I just feel shitty living in their house and not doing anything with myself other than retail jobs...

School will just leave you in
Debt if you don't have a long term plan.

If you're going into a field with a solid career track and know what you're doing then I say go for it.
But if you're gonna dick around for 4 years studying some liberal arts bullshit I'd say learn a trade.
> community college isn't a thing

Go to university. It sounds like you want to. The only other option is learning a trade, so you need to do some kind of school.
Don't be the guy 30 years down the road with a ruined body and little to show for it. Shoot for the stars.

I already said it's engineering

Not to mention a really solid foundation to begin with. Taking intro chem 4 years after starting your degree is ridiculous. Have a SOLID foundation and know EXACTLY what you'll be doing. Might be a good idea to take a year off and explore the university, its courses, the content of the courses, and the requirements for the classes, costs, and weigh that against what you know and how likely you'll be able to dedicate yourself to learning it all.
