Hello /adv/. I'm a 25yo that have been a NEET for 5+ years. After realizing that I'm wasting my time and life, I decided to jump straight into a field that I know nothing about, Mechanical Engineering. I'm 4 months into my course now.

I've recently learned that I should go into internships to collect contacts and build networks. However after looking around for engineering related internships, they're all looking for experienced engineers. I will be contacting the student services later today to see if they can help me. What are my other options to secure a job after this 4years of learning.

And other advice/s to go through this process of becoming self-reliant would also be helpful
