Why does everyone interrupt me and talk over me? It happens

because you don't fight back. im short, 5'6", skinny, just all around twinkish looking, so people like to talk over me.

if they do I say 'I'm not finished talking. If they continue, I say 'still not finished talking'. If they continue, I simply do not talk to them, I just get up and leave. They will call you whiny or childish, but their the ones who wont let you finish a fucking sentence so who cares.

that being said, there is the occasional time when someone (maybe you) talks way too much and people just can't deal with it anymore. We had a 'friend' in highschool who would try to tell multiple stories that would be ten minutes long each. the first day he literally talked the entire time and we didn't get to say anything. we slowly started to just cut him off, filter over him, and finally tlel him he needs to chil l the fuck out.

because in that group they don't respect what you have to say, or you're speaking up in an inappropriate time. if it's the first thing, consider finding a new group of friends. if it's the second thing, try to do more listening than talking, you'll eventually find out when the right time to talk is and they will engage the same.

This, OP. When someone interrupts you give them an unwavering icy stare and do slow finger guns over and over at them (or other violent hand gesture) until they stop talking.
