My younger sister is in a bit of a bind, so I'm turning to you guys in order to help her out.
She's on her high school speech and debate team, but she can't come up with a topic for one of her speeches.
It's an eight minute long speech informing the audience of her topic, and she can use visual aids to help get her point across. She's done her speech on weeb crap like Vocaloid and visual novels in the past, but she pulled it off really well and didn't sperg out like you'd expect.
She wants to do a less weeby topic this time, but she's willing to do something . It can be on anything, really, so long as dumb parent judges can understand what she's talking about. It also has to be appropriate for high school. Doing a speech on the ethics of loli porn will get her kicked off the team (trust me, she's tried).
Can you guys suggest some interesting but understandable speech topics? Thanks.

This is really strange. Neither you, nor the girl who supposedly didn't sperg out when talking about VNs and vocaloid can think of a non-weeb topic to talk about? Surely she ism't stupid, right?
Maybe talk about the use of quantum physics in society? That's what I'd do.
But I'm guessing someone easier would be appreciated. Perhaps something about Net Neutrality? Thats something thats actually currently important.

The ethics of animal farming and its subjective being correlated to culture.
That would make for a good topic.
Your sister can talk about asians eating dogs and how this is no different than us eating pigs, yet feels wrong.
In the end, she can summarize her speech by declaring their is no god and morality is relative.

Yeah, have her inform her probably meme-spouting, tumblr -browsing peers what a retarded idea Net Neutrality is.
People really do need to be better informed about that bullshit and everyone is so misinformed as it is. Plus, it'd be easy and interesting.
