Im 18, my IQ is 120, I find myself distant from those around me and consider most people uninteresting and unfulfilling to have conversation with.
I've never had the patience to do anything that had a steep learning curve or didn't produce immediately impressive results when I put effort into it. From a young age I wanted to get into coding but never had the patience to for the reasons stated above. I'm now studying music production at university and am enjoying it. Despite spending all day surrounded by idiots and having to work on Crapple products I do enjoy my course, the software and the ability to manipulate audio in ridiculous ways intrigues me...
But I find myself feeling unfulfilled and want something more from life.
Would I have been happier if I got into coding and chose to follow that dream?
Could I do it now?
Is it too late?
Am I destined to be unhappy?
Everyone always tells me they expect great things from me, parents, teachers, friends, even random people who've been to my gigs... but I don't know what they're waiting for?

Audio is cool, and I prob know more than you about audio, having worked in someone else's commercial studio for 8 years.
And prob older than you too.
My advice. Treat music as a hobby, BUT fund that with high salary.
Study to be a GP, work part time, and invest that salary into music and audio.
As a GP, no one will fuck with you, just refer risk cases to specialist. Done.
PS. Most "people" are only serving themselves, or bad liars.

You're not going to make it.
At 18 you've got nothing to lose by diving into coding now, unless you're going to bail once it becomes difficult. All that shit about being happy you're going to have to figure out on your own.
Also shut the fuck up about your IQ. You sound like an idiot. As of today, it's a facile measure of one's capability that shallow assholes use to boost their self esteem.
