Any Dentists/Doctors help,
So I think I may have gingivitis. There is some tarter built up around the bottom, slightly receding gums, and tiny black spots between some teeth. I just booked a dental appointment but problem is the earliest I could get in is in 3 weeks. As of now I am getting a tingling feeling between some teeth, which I think might be a cavity. Also if I push on some of my incisors with my tongue I get this popping/clicking sensation, but I don't think they are moving. The worst part is gum pain around my top left canine, which has receded the worst.
Haven't been to a dentist in about 2 years, but for the past few months I have been brushing really well (2 times a day with flossing and mouthwash). Also my gums don't bleed that much anymore, just occasionally. I am hoping it is just gingivitis, and hasn't advanced to periodontitis. As far as I know this is treatable right? Just getting a good cleaning by a physician and some antibiotics should help from what I've read. I hope I don't have to have any rooting or scaling done. Until my appointment, what are someways to reduce pain and swelling around my gums?
So I found out that rinsing with salt water and taking Advil is just about all I can do. I'm so nervous about going though, I just hope nothing serious or irreversible has happened.
