I think I have scabies. At night, I start itching all over. This has been going on for about 3 days and keeps getting worse. I don't really have prolonged physical contact with anyone. I the problem is I don't show any visible symptoms, e.g.: no rash, no bumps, ...
Because of this, I doubt the doctor will make a correct diagnosis. What do?
I'm also on antibiotics, so is it possible that it's just an allergic reaction?
Sure it's not dry skin/eczema?

I wouldn't rule scabies out, but my understanding is that usually it only comes about if you live in a particularly unclean environment or come into contact with a carrier. If it helps, you could try looking for track marks where the mites have burrowed, as that's a pretty good sign you're infected.

bed bugs? Do you have 3 red dots in a row on your skin anywhere?
Also are you sure it's not in your head? Even though I moved out and got entirely new everything after a bed bug infestation it took me a month to not consider every little scratch or itch a bed bug.

If it's only at night when you itch I'm almost positive that it would be bed bugs. My ex boyfriend got them at his old apartment and when I would stay the night there I would start itching, but only at night and I never had any visible marks. He didn't have sheets on his mattress and it wasn't until after having this happen a few times that I finally saw them in the corners of the mattress when I woke up. I'd suggest checking your mattress.
