When eating my food with a plastic fork, one of the prongs broke off in my mouth and I unknowingly swallowed it and felt some discomfort a little while after in my throat and belly, I'm not sure whether it was a placebo.
A few hours have passed.
What will happen now?
Hopefully it will pass through without a problem, most objects do. Keep an eye out for it when you use the bathroom.
However, there is a larger risk than normal because the object is long and pointy. If you feel any cramping or pain or discomfort in the next 48 hours anywhere in your digestive tract, it's recommended you go to a doctor and/or the emergency room to make sure it hasn't damaged something or gotten stuck.

I've had one poo since and it went to the back of the pipe so I couldn't really get a look. Not that I suspect it was from today's food anyone.
What if I feel no pain but don't see it in my stool, what should I do then?
Many years ago I ate a small piece of cloth and never saw it ever again, so I'm worried about having things inside me.
