Go to a locally owned coffee shop. Start going every day at the same time. Be friendly with the baristas. Always enter with open hands and a half-smile. Make eye contact with others in line. If you're funny, say something funny.

After a while if going to this place (make sure it's s busy one) you'll notice girls your age sitting alone. You'll find one that is attractive. Make eye contact with her, smile. That's all. Then the next time you see her you can say hi or good morning. Smile and make eye contact, then go sit down with your coffee. See another girl, do the same. Trust me this is not creepy. It's the opposite. Just keep on doing this. After a while, the brief hello may turn into a conversation. Women give clues to men that they are receptive.
