For the last year I have been applying for an unuversity of applied sciences in Rotterdam Netherlands. However, thats because I didn't think I would get into a real university in my home country. But I did get in.
I broke up with my girlfriend of 2 years that I loved more then life because LDR never works, I already made my friends sad because im going. I really want to go study in the netherlanda, especially since they offered me to complete the 5 year program in 4. What im worried about is finding a job later, my familys advice is to stay and go to a "real" university since I will apperently always be second class with an university of applied sciences. Should I give up what I want in favor of a research uni?

Applied sciences university people find easily a job. That is not the point. The problem is that you are already limiting your future prospects.
Is it worth? Many people go to applied sciences universities because they have failed in research ones...
Moreover, where do you prefer to live? Northern European countries offer top positions to their nationals. What do you prefer, being average in an advance country such as the Netherlands or top in Croatia?
It is your choice.
