This happened to me last month. I tried a bunch of different ways to cool my place down. Not much could be done since it was like 100+ degrees out litterally. But, I did find that just soaking myself in water helped. Like when I would do the dishes I would purposely spill water on myself. Or you could semi freeze towels and then tie em' around yourself like a cape.
