My stuttering is getting worse and worse...I don't know what to do. I started with extreme climbing on chimneys, skyscrapers. I am in big depression nowadays, I just like the moments when the death is smilling to me
Are you using the climbing as a way to deal with speech stuttering? I had never heard of doing so before now, but googling it returned some actually interesting stuff. What more can you tell us about your history of stuttering and/or climbing?
Try to learn how to take pauses while speaking. Being patient with yourself as you try to enunciate each word slowly. Practice with yourself lip syncing, anything to make words fun again. Don't hang up on the real words, you want to just go through the motion of speaking. I used to stutter a lot but liked to sing so I spent years exercising those muscles and suddenly I could rap. So speaking is a lot easier now, and when I do stutter I try to make a reason for it, explain further on where you're going with what you're trying to say. Once you stutter an opportunity opens up to really examine the word choices and possibilities you can work into it and shorten the sentence. Good luck anon! No one really likes speeches anyways, learning to shorten what you want to say will help.
