So I have a friend. Well, kind of a friend.

Basically, we met during freshmen year of college and were best friends of sort. We did literally anything together and it was a pretty good time. But then he decided to drop out of regular college (can't blame him, I kept telling him it wasn't for him etc) and moved to a different city and went to trade school. During this time, he started actively ignoring my messages, even if it was obvious he wasn't going out (I could see on Discord or whatever he was playing videogames) so it became apparent he either forgot me, was actively ignoring me, or replaced me. I was kind of salty over this but eventually I got over it and haven't really thought about him.

Just recently though, he messaged me asking if I wanted to hang out because he came back home during break.

I'm conflicted on how to handle this situation, because on one hand, sure I'd like to, but on the other I can't forget the fact he literally ignored every attempt at trying to talk to him for a good six months, so it feels awkward on my end.

Part of me thinks he might just be using me to avoid boredom while at home. To my knowledge I was his only friend while he lived here, so, forgive me for being a little paranoid about that.

So I guess my question is, should I even bother responding at this point? Should I just be confrontational about it? Or should I act like the past six months of silence were nothing?

A part of me wants to go full confrontational but I'm not sure it's worth the stress desu
>>
Just hang out with him. I think the only reason to confront is if he's a dick in person

Maybe he just gave up on socializing for awhile or doesn't believe in talking to people who aren't directly in front of him. It's rare but there exist people who only socialize in person, not online.
