So, recently my girlfriend (who suffers from depression and low self esteem) convinced me to block a long term internet friend - because she's paranoid my internet friend has a crush on me.
It took me about five days and a lot of arguments to make that decision and I have felt like I sold out my friend and my principles.
I unblocked my internet friend, and now they want to re-connect with me (I didn't tell them what happened) and the guilt is getting to me.
I promised not to contact her again, but I feel bad.
Opinions?

OOH BOY where to begin.
1. You should have drawn the line with your girlfriend and just convinced her that there was no 'crush' (even if there might be).
2. Once you agreed, you should've followed through. Your word is your bond.
3. Now that you've broken your word, you should at least explain to your internet friend and then see what she thinks (if she really does like you, consider going for her instead because like... she's probably less crazy).

Haven't spoken to my friend at all, not sure I want to after having done the whole thing out of the blue.

Haha, if only you knew.
