Firstly bettering yourself should be about you. Not trying to find a gf. If you're living your life to just find a gf then you're just setting yourself up for shitty mental states and weird vibes.

Find shit you enjoy doing. Get fit to make yourself feel good. Get hobbies you enjoy. A lot of the time there are girls in those hobbies. That is already a great leg up for you because you have a mutual hobby you both enjoy. You aren't just pretending to like a book/film/the gym for a girl.

Secondly you're falling too far into the Chad meme. Take a step outside in a crowded area like a mall and look at all the couples. You'll see 10s with 6s, 5s with 7s, 2s with 5s. No relationship is completely cookie cutter/normal. People want different things. Just do what you want and have fun and that positive vibe will attract someone.

I feel like people misunderstand this guy. Not being able to attract anyone for a long period of time can cause serious damage. Especially when girls start their adult life with a shit-ton of validation both in real life and on social media. I mean, how many posts are on the internet where girls start to post nudes because their boyfriend ignored them? Instead of fixing the problem, they just ran away for easy validation. I'm not really sure what the solution is though, but dismissing the problem from a moral highground makes no sense. The reason why I think this way is pretty simple. I can't fucking believe how much I've changed in last two years. If I traveled back in time the 17 year old me from 2015 wouldn't recognize me. I was in a fucking terrible state then, I posted on /adv/ everyday and I was so negative and depressed that most of the people who tried to give me advice gave up after seeing how hopeless I was. I looked at /r9k/ and felt more miserable than 90% of posters there.

The big guys do go to the gym, they're in sports, or both. Once you're out of college they're in the gym constant. They have a skin care routine. They think about what they eat. They go through all the things you complain about but they're in the improvement and maintenance stage rather than the remediation stage.

I'm almost 36. I run 25 miles a week. I'm in the gym four days a week, two of those days I'm in twice. Four of those days are a solid hour of super sets. I open workouts with kettlebell circuits, I close twice a week with Tabata. I count my calories. I pay for my cheat days by having to retread ground I've retread before.

I also won't have Type II diabetes like my father.
