So for the past three years, I've had wisdom teeth pain. I kept putting off seeing my dentist, because I worked a full time job with a long commute. That and whenever I had pain, it would last for a few days and go away and not come back until 6 months later.
Now that I'm not working, my bottom wisdom teeth had been hurting again. My left one is fine but my right one had been hurting for over a week so I figured it was time to go.
Had a consultation with the Oral Surgeon today, he said the top wisdom teeth have come in straight so I don't really need to have then removed, but I should just in case there's problems down the line. My bottom wisdom teeth definitely need to come out though as they're slightly impacted and close to the nerve in my jaw.
I'm not sure whether to have all 4 teeth removed or just the 2 that are bothering me.
My family and boyfriend think getting all 4 out at the same time could be brutal. While the doctor said I would heal in 3-4 days, it's gonna suck to keep gauge pads on all 4. I'm pretty rigorous with my brushing so I don't think I'd have to worry about my too teeth getting infected, but I'd hate to go for surgery again down the line if I need it.
What would you do? All 4 or just the 2 bottom teeth? Also, I was given the option to have anesthesia or laughing gas, but I'm not sure which is better.
Thoughts? Opinions?

If you are going to do them at all, do all 4. Don't puss out. That way you don't have to worry about them in the future. Yeah, your mouth will swell and hurt for a few days but the idea is to endure short term pain for exchange of not worrying about them. The only reason to hold back is due to $$$$. Up to you though.
When I had all 4 pulled, I went with anesthesia. Wicked fucking easy that way. Just make sure you have someone who can get you home. Get ice cream and milk shakes ready.
Hopefully other anons can speak up vs just me.

Just do it and put up with the bullshit. Don't fuck around with your teeth.
t. did it in high school
Remove all 4. I've got wisdom teeth pain two weeks ago. Worst pain of my life. I was literally asking God to kill me lmao.

I wish I had them pulled in high school. I had to go for surgery to pull down impacted canines though.
I'm almost 28, but even when I went to the dentist 5 years ago, they didn't notice any problem with my teeth then. It wasn't until I was around 25 that I started feeling any pain. Now the teeth have grown so Im hoping I dont have dry socket issues when theyre pulled.
My dad keeps insisting I shouldn't remove the top ones if they're not causing any problems, but they're pretty much usless if the bottom ones are removed. My mom keeps saying I shouldn't get the top ones removed so it will "be easier to eat" but again, not sure how that's possible if both of the bottom ones are removed.
Why are my parents so retarded at times.

It was weird, the tooth pain I had wasn't so much from the tooth itself but the gum. Dentist said it was infected, prescribed me amoxicillin, and now I'm not in pain anymore. Still gonna get them pulled to prevent future pain.
I got my left ones done first and a month later the right ones. I dont know what the difference is between anaestethics or gas but the guy just injected some stuff in my jaw to make it numb. It wasnt a big deal, just inconvenient with eating the next few days didnt hurt it felt like the gum was itchy thats all.

The problem is, it's just the bottom ones that are causing problems. The top ones grew in fully straight and haven't caused problems so it doesn't feel like there's any reason to remove them except for preventative reasons.

But if the two have come in straight and are causing no problems, is it necessary to be removed? Doesn't removing them cause more harm than good? I've heard stories of people having problems with sinuses after removing the top wisdom teeth
