Would kratom be good for back pain? I've looked into it and I see that it's listed as an opiate by the dea. I am worried of getting addicted to it trying it once.

you'll almost never get addicted to something just by trying it once. be responsible and don't take too much.
Kratom, in my experience, isn't addicting at all except maybe mentally.
It's incredibly hard to overdose because you WILL throw up violently if you take too much, and you'll only do it once.
I take it a couple times a week for sciatica and tendinitis, it works wonders. AND I don't have to worry about getting fucked on a piss test.
I strongly suggest looking at the Kratom reddit.

I see that but at the same time, I see people talking about getting addicted to it violently.

Yeah, it's like any other drug. I mean people get addicted to fucking caffeine.
But it's not going to kill you, and the withdrawals aren't much worse than nicotine or caffeine from what I've read.
