I can't decide between going into information technology

And I mean I would like some insight as to what a job in each field would be like.

Everyone gets the attraction of getting paid well and these are obvious candidates for decent pay, but are you going to stick through the mental grind of either of these job's training and typical work loads?

Yes, my dad and mom is what got me into those two jobs, I shadowed them many times before and saw what they did, but I'm not just looking for pay, I'm also looking for the jobs I enjoy, and those are the two

If you've got the tolerance for finance, do that. If you're good in finance you can probably hire someone to do your IT work (or just do it as a hobby) but if you're in IT you won't necessarily get paid enough to hire someone for finances.
