A few weeks ago I had what felt like an ingrown hair on the shaft of my penis (I grow hairs on my shaft and tweeze them). I popped it in the shower but didn't bandage it or apply an antibiotic afterwards. Then a few weeks later I felt a sharp sting and noticed an open red sore where the ingrown hair was. Now the sore looks very similar to ones that are associated with syphilis, but while it is painless the rest of the time it stings when it is touched. Should I go get tested or would it be a waste of time?
