How do i get a dog to stop barking?
Its not my animal, it is my roommate's so i probably should not touch it but the issue is she showers it with affection and when she goes out to buy garbage foods (she is fat af), she leaves the responsibilities to me ("can you walk Dorsey for me") which always involves me cleaning big piles of shit because the dog hasnt shit for days but every time i put it back in its cage it will not stop barking forcing me to let it roam the appartment.
The neighbors are sending noise complaints to me since i am here most of the time (college student) despite me explaining that i do not own that dog. I told her she needs to take care of it or give it to the animal shelter, but she says the she likes the arrangement since i've been a pushover for so long.
What do i do here?

Let it out and scare it off, then blame your room mate for leaving the door open. Be in the shower when your room mate goes someplace. You found the door standing open when you got out of the shower.

I don't know for sure, you'd have to check your city, state and local laws. And there is always a chance of it being a civil matter. Now if you want to get legal with it......If that dog bites you she has to do something about it.
