Last nite I lost the keys to my apartment and she offered me a bed at her flatshare. When I wanted to take her up on that offer she suddenly "remembered" that the room wasn't free after all and was giving me all kinds of shit for losing my keys.
I got pissed cause I called bullshit and we parted that nite on bad terms.
The next day she texts me

Am I being too sensitive? Should I text her back or just ignore? I'm not sure what I feel about her anymore, but she's interested and troubled and I wanna be her lover if I can't be her boyfriend. I really want to be her friend but she's not making it easy since that's what friends do.

Speaking as someone who had been in a similar situation, here's my advice: in this case, listen to what she says, but not what she does. Many people have trouble moving on from the physical aspects of a relationship, or they get muddled by them. But, if she actually worked up the courage for the whole FRIENDS talk, she probably meant it.
Kinda like how there are things you know you're supposed to be doing in your moments of abstract sobriety.
