So on thursday, I read on the news that the store I work at was closing. It's a liquidation store. But since the announcement, I've heard absolutely nothing back from my workplace.
I've read another article where a journal came to my store to ask employee about their feelings and stuff, and they said they were told along the day. But I was home that day so I wasn't told.
And that's all okay, I guess, but what happens now? Will the store have a month left or is it instant shut down?

It will take a few weeks to completely shut down but you should polish up your resumé and look for another job. Now is good time to ask for a reference letter from your manager. You can say you are willing to help "wind things down" and they will tell you what the plans for closure are.
Good luck.

Finally, thanks, that's reassuring. I will do all those thing.
