I am going to see my old therapist. I haven't seen her consistently since I was in high school. I've seen her every few years maybe once or twice.
I want to see her again since she knows my past and I have been able to open up to her. I feel ashamed though
Since I've last seen her these issues have come up
>multiple suicide attempts
>borderline personality disorder
>smoking weed daily
>many personal relationship issues with those around me
I am not suicidal anymore and I am working on fixing my issues and returning to school. I genuinely want to change and improve my life which is greatly different from when I was in high school.
Is this an inconsiderate work load to show up at her office with?
>Is this an inconsiderate work load to show up at her office with?
Gee, isn't that what she gets paid to do? She has her work cut out for her, if she's not up to it she can be a bartender or something.

I guess I just feel guilty and embarrassed about getting worse since I've last seen her.

Of course not. That's what she's there for. You going back to see her is the best proof that you really do want to get better, and I guarantee you that that is exactly what she will try to help you with.
Good luck anon, feel better.

Well if you can't talk to a professional, who are you supposed to talk to, a priest? I guess if you're really worried about it, try to come up with a short and simple, but still sufficient explanation for what's been happening and leave out as much melodrama as possible.

Then tell her that as well.

It happens dude. We all have ups and downs in life. If it makes you feel better I did the same. I talked the first time over some minor anxiety problems. Fast forward and I now have anxiety disorder, have major relationship and trust issues, and some very unhealthy obsessions and habits.
The prior knowledge my therapist had made it that much easier to gauge how to fix the problems and the same will go for you.
