I'm white, my dad is black, and my grandfather on my white side talks about how much he hates niggers pretty often. I'm trying not to let it get to me, he & his wife were both shot in a home invasion, and he's old. Sometimes I feel like he's just joking around calling people niggers, but today he started talking about my dad, asking about him. He didn't call him a nigger, but his line of questioning felt uncomfortable, especially after he had just gone on a whole thing about "niggers". Maybe I got a defensive because he kinda got up and walked away.
I like the guy but I can't have him disrespect my father and not say something.

I was adopted. My biological fathers wife's father is the grandpa I'm talking about...distant in relation but he's the only one who's still alive so I wanna make the most of it. He has only met my adoptive father a few times.
Don't ask too many questions, it would take too long to explain, but his daughter and my dad had no relation.

Where is your white biomom? Your adoptive parents are white but when did your biodad enter the scene?
