My birthday is coming up soon too, just the end of the month, and honestly I don't really treat my birthday like an excuse to do anything I wouldn't normally do if I really wanted to. In other words, do what you want cause a pirate is free.

I decided that I'm probably killing myself. Struggling with depression and all that jazz. Knowing myself I'll probably prolong my life for a couple days, but I won't know until I actually try.

topping yourself seems a tad extreme, I've got a pretty bad case of depression myself which is probably why no matter what I do I can't really tag myself as having any interests or anything that excites me enough to want to do when given an excuse like a birthday. I can't even drum up the enthusiasm to go see a movie or buy myself a game. But I don't think doing anything drastic would help. I mean I've thought about it. But I'm too chicken to DO anything. I'd just do something shitty and passive like take up smoking.
