Really hope I'm just overreacting to a car incident I just had
>got my first car like a week ago
>pulling out of street
>trash day
>dead end street
>trash can directly in front of my car
>two more to like 3 oclock and 1 o clock
>decide its best to back up some 50 feet
>hear scratching and stop car
>neighbors trash can from behind me on side of car
>its a very busted up trash can like pic related
>apparently he left it hugging the curb
>i didnt back into it but more it scratched the side of my car
>i simply moved it more onto the grass and proceeded to leave
>when i parked at destination noticed a streak on car
now im wondering if he saw me (his car was there), should i apologize, should i say nothin

If in doubt, say something. A dustbin is almost worthless anyway, right?

lol it's a fucking trashcan, no one gives a fuck
if it was on the curb, it's even public property
that's why cops/feds can dig through it without a warrant

just worried cause its my neighbor
old man who bitches about random crap
'get off my lawn' tier.
if this was somewhere else i wouldnt worry

Fuck him. What's he gonna say? "You scuffed up my trashcan!"
If anything you should tell him not to put his trash so close to your driveway

Then knocking on his door about a nonissue where he isn't required to do anything may also upset him.
Huge chance he doesn't listen to what you actually say and yells it's not his fault you messed up your car and didn't look before backing up.
