What kind of doctor or specialist do I need to see for speech impairments or stuttering issues?
I feel like I can't talk unless I have everything rehearsed in my head ahead of time. I can usually tell on a basic agree / disagree level how I feel about something but struggle with words. My speech also slurs sometimes and I use the wrong words when I'm speaking without rehearsing. No one I talk to seems to understand and all my google searches return doctors for children.

also, i have conversations planned out in my head with other people all the time, it gets pretty autistic when im in an actual conversation and trying to hit all the points i rehearsed

They're called speech therapists. They do help with stutters and stammers, but some of your problems might also be some kind of ADD.

Thank you both, I'll find a local speech therapist and also look into the possibility of ADD.
