I'm kind of in the same boat as OP.
Lost financial aid and got kicked out of engineering. Years down the drain and $30K in debt and no future.

Are there any other majors besides engineering that are economically feasible? Seems like even STEM is a meme. I was thinking about chemistry but everything online tells me that you max out at $15 an hour as a equipment jockey.

STEM is like anything else, you gotta go for the ones that aren't saturated. Biology, maybe chemistry, and physics - there's either not a lot of jobs, not a lot you can do, or not a huge demand for it.

Engineering, technology, and math there's still plenty of application.

If you can't keep your grades up, take some easy graded classes to bump up your GPA. Yeah, it's lost time, but it'll boost up your GPA so you can get FAFSA

There's also loans, unsubsidized or subsidized. Depending on what kind of degree you're working for it might be worth it
