IIRC crabs are lice. But yes OP, this anon is correct. Most things like the clap, chlamydia, hpv, herpes, etc, can't survive long if at all outside the body. Most viruses only live for 30 seconds to a minute or two outside the body. Usually they have to either be breathed, swallowed, or go through a puncture i the skin. Hiv and the like actually go into people through microtears in tissue and even from people having sex or being punctured by a needle, the transmission is lower than you would think.
