see a doctor, long-term sleep problems can fuck up your brain
stay up so long, you fucking kill yourself. eternal sleep. problem solved.
alternatively, post reasons why you think you stay up: excessive energy, constant thought, feelings of anxiety. it all helps in finding a solution.
look into meditation, my point being if you can learn to dismiss rouge thoughts, sleep comes easy. through meditation, your constant analysis is controlled through focus and discipline. it aint easy but its worth it if you value your sanity.

Ya know, I think it already fucking has
What symptoms should I look out for if my brain is damaged
I don't want to see a doctor because I am worried that will make me unlegible to enlist, and I'm dependant on getting this job.

Constant thought and anxiety. Pretty much this. My brain won't fucking turn off.
I have tried meditation but I just can't buy into it. It gets annoying due it its slow paced nature, and my minds constantly racing.

In my opinion, meditation is the answer. your brain is conditioned to consonantly analyse everything. meditation helps disregard this reaction.
dont give up so easily, this is a skill that's hard to own, you might as well learn astrophysics. also, realize there are different kinds of mediation, find one that fits your specific needs.
but if you think you suck at it, there are alternatives to drugs that may work. i can think of doing some sort of ritual before you sleep, asmr, not eating after 6:00pm, lol even lucid dreaming.
if you're going to the military though, you will be too tired to care and sleep anyways. just wait it out.
Relax and think happy thoughts
