Why do I get depressed with the end of shows/books and shit I like
It makes my depression unreasonably WORSE
Because you don't have an emotional output in real life, so you project everything that's inside of you onto that screen of yours.

Sort of like RLM stopping me from killing my self each week.

thanks there Freud real helpful, real paragon of /adv/
OP it's because in media, characters are designed to be likable, settings are designed to be immersive, and everything that happens is designed to appear extremely important
it needs to be this way for it to get you to feel certain things and when you lose that it doesn't feel great, that is the desired effect of the creator
it's a very common feeling

This. I remember I really cried at the end of Max Payne 2. Even though Mona Sax was a set up bitch, I fucking bawled for Max. :(
I replayed it a couple months ago I was just amazed of how autistic I was back then
yeah man i rewatched all 9 seasons of the office and since i finished the last episode last week ive fallen into a really deep cant get out of bed depression
it was the only thing for me to do all day and now its over again

that's why i never watch any series anymore. i become far too invested into it and almost always feel empty/depressed after i bingewatch the fuck out of it.

Who hurt you Aku?

same here, however I get the same feeling everytime I'm alone and don't do anything. It's kind of a bad situation since I'm in the army right now and protect shit. So it gets really boring + gun with ammo... I was pretty close to just shoot myself 2 weeks ago.
It's just this empty feeling and I wonder why I still keep on with this.
However I do have friends etc., what could be the reason?
