Whenever I confront my sense of self especially on drug binges mainly Benzos and Weed. I realize that I am free to do whatever the fuck I want. The world is a simulation of my brain and my brain is only what I think it is. Why not? Why care what other people think it doesn't even matter for all i know they aren't even real. Is this why drugs are illegal to hide this realization? I don't really have a sense of right or wrong anymore only fear of what happens when I choose to be free. Can anyone relate?
>>
>>18324626
You are misinterpreting the "realization". The world is not a simulation in YOUR brain as an individual but the universe is a simulation of the omnipotent consciousness of god. In the same way your individual mind will construct false senses when subjected to a sensory deprivation chamber the greater conscious field has created reality through an infinite time of "sensory deprivation". So, everything is "fake" in a sense but it is also real because you and everyone else are an individual aspect of and experiencer of the larger singularity.
>>
>>18324648
You can't prove that consciousness isn't just a mechanism produced by the brain. I see what you're saying but I have trouble believing that there is a right or wrong or something I cannot do.
>>
>>18324657
>You can't prove that consciousness isn't just a mechanism produced by the brain

You're right, I can't, but what is the significance? If anything is seems that that would only reinforce the theory of absolute reality if your consciousness is a direct product of the evolutionary process.
>>
There is a reason why Decartes say:
'I think therefore I am'

The question was like your question. He said that we cannot doubt of our existence while we doubt....
Even though we might think the world is a simulation or nothing is real, there is no doubt that we exist because of our doubt of existence in the first place.

We all had that thought before lol. History teaches us what us people had thought before and their repercussions from that action, which is our way to learn from them and improve ourselves. When you know this and another person asks the same question we continue to share our knowledge, just as Descartes had shared his thoughts to us.
>>
If I was free then you would tell me what this is all about. The fact there are a great deal amount of people working 24/7 to conceal the truth from me is proof that I'm just a prisoner. I might be able to get in a car and drive a couple hundred miles but wherever I go, those same people will be working their asses off to keep the lie going.

Until someone tells me what is really going on, I have no reason to try to do anything.

Seriously, this is not something you fucking drag out the way you assholes have been doing.
>>
>>18324662
I can tell by your first response that we must had a similar experience. I actually find it quite good. I'm actually trying to convince myself that the "I" feeling is not just an illusion forced on by an evolutionary process.. but at the same time I would feel free if I knew I could do what is wanted without having to carry any consequences in a future experience that I did not realize in this life.
>>
>>18324657
Your perspective will change real quick if you push it too far & end up in jail. A set of steel bars & a heavy-duty lock will give you a very effective lesson in the boundaries & limitations of objective reality.
>>
>>18324675
I agree, I feel like people are pretending or not telling me something.
>>
>>18324682
Yeah I'm a huge fan of psychedelics and use them as meditative tools often. If anything the forced existential crises have made me far less nihilistic and more appreciative of the marvelous complexity of the universe we inhabit.
>>
>>18324675
The thing is nobody knows anon. We work because it keeps us occupied, pays bills and keeps shelter under our heads. Its the way to keep us as humans sane.
The fact that you've mentioned about not trying to do anything I assume implies you have the necessities (shelter, food, weed). I had that thought of no reason to try to do anything but then I realised after smoking a couple spliffs that it gets boring and unfulfilled in life; I want to do something more.

Have you recently started smoking weed? If so, I recommend to use it responsibly.
>>
>>18324696
I agree nothing compares to the first psychedelic experience, It will never be the same after that first experience. It gets difficult to grasp anything because you are constantly trying to quantify your experience and interpret symbolic meaning or messages from it. Or it could just be the beginning of a mental illness lol Do you believe in balance? What do you think about the "Truth Contest"
>>
>>18324626

Smart people realize the heart of all this without drugs. Stop squatting on their territory, juicer.
>>
>>18324705
WEED was my first psychedelic even though most people don't realize that aspect of THC is a hell of a drug. Do you mind sharing some thoughts you had while smoking? I am curios because mine are pretty whack like i am just part of a movie

>agree nothing compares to the first psychedelic experience, It will never be the same after that first experience

I personally disagree, every trip is unique.

Do you believe in balance?
Yes, everything is cyclic balance. You can not have hot if there is no such thing as cold, no life without death, no death without decay and recycling back into life. So on and so forth, order from chaos and therefore chaos through order.
>>
>>18324738
So technically life is fair for everyone in infinity? Everybody will be a billionaire once or an infinite amount of times and/or starving be in Africa an infinite amount of times etc.
>>
>>18324748
You already are at all times I guess? The entirety of the universe is a singularity right? I think of it in the same way as having a wooden table with a bunch of scratches on it, each scratch can be observed on the table as individual scratches that are unique separate from the unscratched varnish, but they are still a part of the table as a whole entity. (except far more deep and complex of course)

Whether or not your consciousness transfers to another brain after you die or you transcend dimensions or something else entirely isn't exactly known but it's a possibility.

quantum theory is coming closer and closer to a scientific god every day, everything I'm saying correlates with modern theoretical physics. What do you think they are trying to accomplish at CERN exactly?
>>
>>18324723
There is a whole topic about these. I can't describe everything; insert Teaching man to fish and giving fish phrase. Google your thoughts. Usually grass city and marijuana.com will have a community that shares their experience.

I had that part of movie feeling a couple of times. Its completely normal.

As for thought while high its whatever you're doing really. Watching movies, porn, games, music, closing your eyes, meditation. People that smoke first time would think that what they're thinking is unique but really at least some people had the same thoughts you had.

Smoking first time seems like a whole new world, after a while it just used as entertainment to be ok with doing nothing if you smoke weed eryday. Im not saying weed is bad, but it has its pros and cons just like alcohol and what ever (but cigarettes don't do it). Moderation is key, but a quick tip: If you ever want to fast forward time weed is damn effective tool to use.

I highly recommend this lecture by Alan Watts on the subject.

>>18324785
Good shit anon. How do I apply this knowledge and make decisions in my life for example right or wrong. I've been in therapy for almost 1 year after my first psychedelic experience. I guess it was the wrong setting with wrong people aka I tried to fuck the dealers gf when he was gone because I thought I was god and she was just a 3D projection of my mind. I also had this odd singularity feeling of being part of a greater mind and not really being in control of my FREEWILL but rather the "I" am. Still don't know if right or wrong actually exist and if so. Can I do what I want? And what are the consequences?
>>
>>18324812
>>18324820
I discovered Alan Watts, Rubert Spira and Tao the Ching etc. 6 months ago and listen to it every night before going to sleep. I think I listened to all of them. I am not able to get high all the time but when I do I have all questions answered which brings out a longing to understand it in the real pragmatical world where I can act upon it but whenever I try to convey this knowledge in words which is almost impossible because it is somehow direly linked to my subjective experience. I just want to know, if I don't care about Jail, Is there still a right or wrong?
>>
>>18324821
> I guess it was the wrong setting with wrong people

You absolutely were, if you haven't ruined psychedelics for yourself entirely. I would recommend psychedelic meditation, start small if you need but don't push yourself to or take this advice if you fear it can have negative effects due to your previous experience. "Only when you are ready" as they say. I like to compare psychedelics to entering developer mode on your mind so it's definitely something you want to handle with the utmost respect and safety.

>feeling of being part of a greater mind and not really being in control of my FREEWILL but rather the "I" am

Either way the decisions are being made by your being. I see it as so; people argue that god can not be omnipotent due to not being able to have any limitations as limitations are contradictory to the the concept of omnipotence. However, in order for it to truly be omnipotence there would need to be limitations and no limitations simultaneously. God is infinite and is everything that is was and will be and therefore is unlimited but at the same time the individual aspects of the universe (You, Me, your cat, that rock) are the limitations of the universe as we as individuals are certainly not unlimited in any sense (yet still belong to the greater, unlimited infinity)

>Still don't know if right or wrong actually exist

Right and wrong certainly exist sure, if you take two infants who have not been socialized yet and you give food to one but not the other, the infant with food will provide some to the infant with none. Therefore it seems to be the case that we are born with some sort of sense of inherent morality.

>Can I do what I want?
Sure, everything is a choice.

>And what are the consequences?
The consequences that have been developed and deemed proper by your society for violating the agreed moral code that has been devised to prevent and punish behavior deemed detrimental to the continuation of civility and the species,
>>
>>18324866
What do you think I should now based on your experiences? I don't think I will be able to try Psychedelics anytime soon. For all I know that time I lost my sense of self. I felt like life was just a cosmic joke and I was forced to experience this simulation of my mind. That tried to convince me that I actually exist lol
>>
>>18324866
*know
>>
>>18324866
The reason I am asking is because I am contemplating some real unethical shit. But if Jail is the only possible consequence I couldn't care less. lol
>>
>>18324851
The question rather is do you care about jail? Most likely yes, but a right or wrong is relative. A person doing nothing wrong and going to jail will care in comparison to a repeated offender going to jail multiple times.

Our moral compass is how we live how we live. Listening to podcasts and opinions from others help move our compass and learn more, becoming a more well informed, moral and wiser person as a result.
>>
>>18324913
Not all criminals go to Jail. How about WAR? Just think about all the big frauds that are done with Stocks, Bonds, Federal Reserve that literally decides the fates of billions of lifes. Is there a superior force that you know of that gives consequences for once actions
>>
>>18324897

>For all I know that time I lost my sense of self
Yes that is commonly referred to as ego death. The loss of yourself which can certainly be frightening if you are not ready for it/not expecting it. Especially if you are in a terrible setting with people around, losing yourself while others are watching sure sounds horrible. Ego death however is the aspect of the trip that is most beneficial as you are able to rediscover yourself one step at a time, like recompiling your being. That's why meditation is the key to a successful trip rather than being reckless because you will recompile your being with all your fears and misconceptions from the bad trip in the bad setting as opposed to being able to really focus on the task at hand.

>>18324907
Jails not hard but is gets real boring real fast, hell I'm about to go to trial where the prosecution is trying to serve me 4-6 years. Do I regret my actions? Yeah, I do. Will I bitch and moan about being sentenced? No, because I know I did wrong and justice needs to be served. The very reason you are asking is because you already know it's wrong, if you didn't have a sense of right and wrong, why would you, and what would there be to even ask?
>>
>>18324935
Now you made me curious. What are you on trial for? If you don't mind me asking.. I am more concerned of an unknown force that judges me based on my actions. I am not a believer but I am afraid of any hell there could be

Here is a smaller excerpt from the following talk (>>18324820)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FScV-0bbZHQ
It talks about the true meaning of karma, or what is commonly misunderstood as "payback for bad action"

>Now you made me curious. What are you on trial for?
pic related
>>
>>18324923
Its true. Not all criminals and wrong doers go to jail. I was saying that repeated offenders in jail might not care going to jail relative to that individual hence the moral compass. Sometimes its like there is no justice. Just as we know, life is just not fair.

A superior force? I don't know and am clueless as everyone in the world unfortunately. How I learn to answer these questions is learning from what opinions others have to say and learn, just as you are asking the opinion of others e.g. philosophy; they give their opinions and we take it as a grain of salt. One I can think of on top of my head is the simple karma model; what goes around comes around.

One more reply and Im going to sleep, its 2am already haha.
>>
>>18324974
>what goes around comes around.
not really though, Karma is more so "the situation you are in is exactly where you want to be"
>>
>>18324974
The problem with KARMA is that is doesn't apply to sexual tension or primitive urge. If it wasn't there then I wouldn't have to act out... Nice pic btw hope all goes well. What is your standpoint on that? You really helped me a lot.
>>
>>18324985

Karma isn't "what goes around comes around" but more so "the situation you are in is exactly where you want to be"

Please bro give me a sec. I went to take a smoke and this is the creame of the crop. Your answer could be live changing to be me. Let me type it out real quick
>>
>>18324991
I'm saying that I question the boundaries of society to that what is actually true. Nothing will keep you from killing a friend or raping that 12yo girl down the road. Therefore there is no right or wrong in nature. Because it doesn't protect the vulnerable but rather encourages the survival of the fittest. I somehow escaped this illusion by accident or luck. I've been struggling with porn addiction since I was a pre-teen and now it is more arousing to me to force sex than to get it by consensus. Can there be a punishment that is beyond what can be seen?
>>
>>18325027
>Can there be a punishment that is beyond what can be seen?
Sure, aside from legal punishment and imprisonment put forth by other people there can be unforeseen consequences in the form of psychological punishment carried out by your own mind or an effectual punishment as a result of the butterfly effect. Every action you take sets forth a long chain of reactions of most of which can't be foreseen.

In a more metaphysical sense? Possibly, we can never tell until it with does or does not happen I suppose. When one takes DMT there is an unmistakable "other presence" they encounter wherever they go so maybe there is more, higher beings out there. Maybe it's just DRUGS LMAO, but you can't say for sure.
>>
>>18325081
Yea, we can't know for sure. I try to learn but the only answers are no answer. It's like something is waiting (time-space) until I decide to do something but how the heck are we supposed to know what needs to be done. Life doesn't come with instructions for a reason. Thanks man, you gave me comfort in knowing that. Good night!
>>
>>18325094
>how the heck are we supposed to know what needs to be done
The best answer to this I've come across is that life is suffering it's a horrible thought, but it's true really. The point of life, the point of being, is to alleviate the amount of suffering we and others need to endure.

Good night.

Like I said, these are opinions made by historical persons. My reply about karma is one of the thoughts made by a historical person. You see, its these thoughts that tries to make the world more sense; might or might not, it was a good model at that time. Your replies about the issues of karma are of your opinions of course, it maybe right or wrong for me and might be right or wrong for you.

> Karma doesn't apply to sexual tensions and primitive urge
Do you mean sexual thoughts with your friends partner/ex? Primitive urge as just a thought of doing lovely stuff to someone? Sexual thoughts and desires will always be there; we're humans after all. Its not an excuse to cheat however. Killing a friend and raping a 12yo girl down the road? We have society to help protect and try the best to prevent these things hence jail, justice etc. Imagine you had a 12yo daughter or relative that was raped because of that same mindset you had?

Those are indeed dark thoughts and you probably know it. I believe you are trying to find a good reason to commit these deeds so you wouldn't feel bad and blame on your porn addiction and society. It is daresay wrong in my opinion morally and socially. To have a relationship is much fruitful; I hope you do the good thing.

It took me time to answer this question. Its quite alarming for you to have these thoughts.
>>
>>18325127
There is a feeling of right or wrong in extreme cases like I mentioned. Of course I am not going to rape anybody lol that was just an example with the girl down the road. Right or wrong is just a mental concept where a lot of people draw absolutes from and create whole Religions from it but the point is that there is nothing natural about these feelings besides having them naturally. I think it's an illusion and you can do whatever you wish in reality without there being a heaven or hell. Can you explain what you mean, if I missed something? Thank you for the honest response
>>
>>18325165
>nothing natural about these feelings besides having them naturally.
????
>>
>>18325180
Think about it, you only filter reality with your internal world you imagine an external world that exists somewhere out there but at the end it is only your perception of a world that you think exists. With natural I mean that you can't point out Right or Wrong as something that exists but only that which you perceive to be. Some people think Donal Trump is the wrong president others think he is the right president.. Who is right?
