Raise him in a racially diverse environment. Prioritize quality of education at whatever schools you send him to, but it's best if they're also diverse. Black people become "thuggish" only when they grow up surrounded by other poor blacks. However, having no black friends will make him feel alienated and inferior. There has to be a balance.
