After years of fucking around in community college, I'll be transferring to university soon at age 22.
What should I know ahead of time? I'm in a STEM field if that helps.

Congrats. I did the same thing as you except when I was 21. Just enjoy your time there, don't be scared to talk to people, join some clubs or whatever. I also recommend you look into doing a co-op with a company through your university. This way when you graduate you will have a higher chance at employment.

How do you make friends in uni?

Do as many internships and projects as you can. Looks good on a resume. A hiring manager would rather see a 3.0 GPA w/ experience vs the 4.0 with none.

Are you blind? The man said talk to people and join clubs.
same OP except I'm 21
I don't know what to expect. Community college felt like Highschool Plus

Transferred just a year before you, now I'm 22.
Prepare for more work, it's about the same amount of work as cc for equivalent classes, but upper division courses generally has more lab and hw(especially since you already finished the easy GE classes in cc).
Also, check if you're changing from a semester system to a quarter system.
Profs give a lot less shit about individual students and aren't as leniant as cc profs(in my experience, the cc profs let me turn in late labs and hws). But if some shit goes down you can still email them to beg for mercy.
There are TA(grad students) if you want to ask for help on the material.
