Should I let my 11 year old nephew watch Bojack Horseman?
Feeling a little conflicted because of the subject matter.
that show is shit regardless of who watches it
>>18294728
No.
That show is good but very nihilistic, not good for the developing mind of an 11 year old.
Too many influences like that at a young age can lead to chronic mental issues
>>18294747
Is nihilism intrinsically bad for youth?
>>18294728
I don't know what it is but judging by the image you posted it does not look suitable for him. Don't do it
the show is a bad influence plus he wouldn't understand it
the whole point of the show is really about maturity
really proves you don't understand the point of the show
>>18294728
Dunno, that's usually a /tv question.
Depends on the kid or what kind of content you let them watch.
>>18294728
He can watch it but he won't understand it. Why would you let him watch it anyways?
>>18294728
He would think something along the lines of "Bojack is so cool! He's rich and fucks bitches" but then he will forget that the show is about a depressed millionare who can't achieve happiness because he never got over issues and never stopped being nihilistic and shallow.
The show is about bojack being immature and about he himself being responsible for not being happy
Just make him watch steven universe or over the garden wall dude.
>Should I take parenting advice from a bunch of neet permavirgins?
>>18294728
ren and stimpy would be a far better choice.
>>18294778
I would say yes.
Evil Con Carne would be better suited for someone 11 years old.
I don't even imagine an 11 year old would enjoy watching a show that mostly consists of the main character drinking and crying about what a shitty person he is.
>>18294728
Let him watch it, also give him some cocaine and a loaded gun you RETARD.

>Asking about tv shows on /tv/
Have you ever actually been there? It's a shitposting board. The only threads that get legitimate discussion are porn threads and underage girl threads (which are spammed by other shitposters)
>>18295015
>letting a kid watch adult oriented television is the same as letting him snort cocaine
Ok.
>>18295057
>Doesn't understand that's the entire point of 4chan
Let me guess, you thought blue boards were sfw, too?
>>18295228
No, I understand the point of 4chan perfectly fine. /tv/ doesn't have your typical shitposting. I've made threads on other boards similar to ones I post on /tv/ and have gotten banned for it. Even the on topic threads on /tv/ are ridiculously low quality, the off topic threads are BLACKED porn and pedo spam, and they are both spammed at around the same time every night and have been for a while. No other board is that bad.
>>18295013
Exactly this, it'd just be awkward for you

If anything, he'd pick up the bleak perspective, but not the criticism of it the show provides
