People with ADHD have significantly different reactions to amphetamines to neurotypical folks; I'm looking for the quick response in the mean time cause I'm impatient as hell (shocker right) while I wait on an appointment with someone who can actually diagnose to seek medication that would be in a correct dosage and whatever, ideally from someone in the medical professions; less ideally from someone who just has ADD/ADHD and can chime in with their own experiences.

Not all people do because these things aren't absolute laws of medicine. Further, amphetamines don't just make you amped up overall, they CAN make you feel slowed down and generally that's what they do - partially because of blood pressure, but of course, not for all people. People who abuse these types of things snort them instead of taking them orally simply because the absorption into the blood stream is much faster in the former method. That's because a slow absorption caused only the muddle. Just because you have these symptoms does NOT mean you have ADD/ADHD but rather you are assuming the consequent.

seems like you desperately want to find an excuse to why you're a lazy slob instead of getting your ass up. much like a fat woman getting mad that the doc found out her thyroid glans are working just fine and she just needs to exercise and eat less but she gets all worked up because apparently the doc isn't "taking her seriously" and she really needs a second opinion and possibly a gastric band ASAP. because she's "eating rather healthy" (uses milk with added calcium for her fruit loops in the morning) and gets "plenty of exercise" (walking to mcdonalds).

Insomnia is my biggest issue and regular medication/treatment that just causes drowsyness has failed. I'm hoping ADD/ADHD treatment have different approaches to it because brain activity not settling when I go to bed is my problem (which is typical of ADD/ADHD).

I mean I still got a referral to an ADD/ADHD psychiatrist but it's pretty fucking infuriating to say "I have problem" and hear "no you dont" instead of "why do you think that" from a doctor. There was no interest in exploring it when I spoke to her that didn't just feel like I was being humoured.

That's because ADHD is a meme and some doctors treat it as such. Nobody really understands ADHD and can diagnosis it accurately. I'm sure she gets tons of young people every week asking if they have ADD and she's used to telling them they're completely fine. It's a meme.

I'm quite sure that a degree in medicine, coupled with many years of experience stands for a bit more than Wikipedia and googling to find a reason for your failure in life.

You have a referral to a psychologist who will look into your symptoms further, but all other anons are right. It's seen as a joke diagnosis and is very, very rarely given to adults. I think you're probably looking for the wrong thing here - a quick fix which will change your life which doesn't exist.
